The assignment was to make a ‘web based promotion for a band’. Because most of us we're just learning how to make web sites, we did just that.
Process
We started working out a new logo for them (since they didn't really have one). Once we got that straight, we started doing some prototypes in InDesign, so we could decide which direction we'd go with.
Role
Because I already was fairly experienced in front-end development, I focused on passing my knowledge to my peers. I introduced them to grids, CSS-transitions and Ajax.
Personal project
The part I could work on by myself, was the music player. It gets album information from the BandCamp API, and is entirely JavaScript based with Soundmanager, which provides an API to the native audio element, or a Flash Player fallback.
